USTFCCCA All-Academic Teams Covered With Ivy

NEW ORLEANS -- The men’s and women’s teams from seven Ivy League schools were honored by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA), which announced the men’s and women’s 2011-12 Division I All-Academic Track & Field Teams.
Teams earned the distinction as a result of a cumulative team GPA of 3.00 or better.
On the women’s side, a total of 171 institutions received
the award. Yale tied for fourth overall with a 3.50 grade point
average, following Duke (3.58), Wofford (3.53) and Weber State
(3.52). Dartmouth was second among the League teams with a 3.37
GPA, while Brown (3.35), Harvard (3.35), Cornell (3.25), Princeton
(3.20) and Columbia (3.19) round out the rest of the Ivy
squads.
For the men, 85 total teams earned the honor from the USTFCCCA. The
Ivy League tied with the BIG EAST as each conference boasted seven
teams on the All-Academic list. The top Ivy squad was again Yale
with a 3.39 GPA, followed by Harvard (3.35), Brown (3.33),
Dartmouth (3.31), Columbia (3.23), Princeton (3.15) and Cornell
(3.03).
