PRINCETON, N.J. -- After claiming a thrilling 25-18, 25-18, 23-25, 17-25, 15-8 win over Yale in a Nov. 21 Ivy League playoff match between the League's co-champions, Penn (17-10) advances to its second consecutive NCAA Women's Volleyball Championship this week.

The Quakers head to Cameron Indoor Stadium on the campus of Duke University in Durham, N.C., to face first-round opponent Ohio University (22-12) at 5 p.m. Friday, Dec. 3. The other match at that site will feature host and tournament No. 12 seed Duke (24-6) against High Point University (22-12).

Friday's first-round winners will face off Saturday in the second round, with the winner moving on to the regional semifinals next weekend in State College, Pa.

Florida is the No. 1 seed in this year's NCAA Championship; the Gators are followed in the seedings by Nebraska, Stanford and Penn State. This year's championship semifinals and final will be played December 16 and 18 at the Sprint Center in Kansas City, Mo.

• Ivy League teams hold a combined 3-16 record in NCAA Championship play
• Yale earned the League's first NCAA win, a 3-0 win over Albany in 2004
